pinkira is a personal "picture book" app for preserving your child's adorable mispronunciations (baby talk) with photo, voice, and words together. Capture the fleeting voice you can only hear right now, alongside a photo, and replay it any time.

Where are my photos and recordings stored? Are they uploaded to the cloud?
Everything you record — your child's photos, voice, words, name, and date of birth — is stored only on your device. It is never sent to our servers, and we cannot view it. The app works entirely on your device.
How do I record a voice?
Tap the "+ (Record)" button, take a photo or choose one from your album, and record the voice right there. On the screen after recording, you can trim to keep only the part you want, adjust the volume, enter the word you heard, and save.
Can I add multiple recordings to the same photo?
Yes. Tap a photo in the collection and choose "Record this voice too" to add as many recordings as you like to the same photo. You can preserve how words change over time — for example, "toumokoroshi → toumorokoshi" (corn).
I want to edit or set my child's name or birthday.
Go to the gear icon (Settings) at the top right of Home > "Child" to edit the name and birthday anytime. Once a birthday is set, each record shows the age at the time of recording (e.g., 2 years 7 months). If not set, no age is shown.
No age is shown on my records.
Age is not shown if no birthday is set. Set it from Settings > "Child" > "Set birthday." Note that age is saved at the moment of recording, so it cannot be retroactively applied to past records (it appears on new recordings made after the birthday is set).
Are ads shown? Do they appear on screens children see?
Ads (Google AdMob) are shown on screens such as the collection list. No ads are shown on the recording screens that children operate. We ask for tracking permission (for ad personalization) on first launch, but you can use all features without granting it.
Can I migrate my data to a new device?
In the current version, records are stored only on your device, so please use iCloud Backup when switching devices. We recommend separately preserving important records via device backups as needed.
Which iOS versions are supported?
pinkira supports iPhone running iOS 17 or later.
